But I cannot even login into LastPass on my phone with the CORRECT master password. I tried resetting the master password and login again but failed as expected.

Problem solved.
It seems that it was my first attempt to log in on my mobile. Even though I type the right password, the attempt was blocked somehow.
I successfully login after I verify the log-in confirmation email.
My suggestion is that your team need to send a reminder to those who log in on mobile the first time, like "if you type the right password but failed login, please check your email and verify the login".
It is okay to have safety precautions like it, but without any straightforward reminder, it is really annoyed.
