Automatic log out setting doesn't work properly

"Automatically Log out when all browsers are closed" doesn't seem to work. It's checked but LastPass was still logged in after browser was closed for >1 hour.

Re: Automatic log out

Still no fix (3/30/19) Does LastPass have a response to this?

Re: Automatic log out

Just noticed this problem on my machine... seems to have been reported quite some time ago by others... disappointing/slow response.

Re: Automatic log out

Still doesn't seem to work on my Asus Chromebook C302C.  Interesting that the setting for "Log out after this many minutes of inactivity" does work.

Chrome browser Version 90.0.4430.215

Asus C302C Chromebook

Re: Automatic log out

Hi @echollis,

Could you check this setting in your Extension Preferences to see if it fixes this issue?

  • Click the LastPass icon in your web browser toolbar.
  • Go to Account Options or click your email at the bottom of this menu > Extension Preferences
  • Click Advanced in the left side menu, make sure "Share login state between browsers" is NOT enabled. Save changes.
  • Go back to Extension Preferences and make sure your automatic log out preferences are set to your preference and test again.
