Credit Card Expiry date

The CC expiry date has been filled incorrectly ever time I tried to use it, resulting in me having to get my card out anyway.
In my case, my card started and finished in October (10) and every time I use the auto fill feature it puts the start and end month in the Expiry Month and year and hence the expiry date is filled as 10/10.
This is of course incorrect and I have to get my card out anyway to double check the date and fill it manaully.

The latest purchase I tried was on the toolstation.co.uk app

I really like this app, but I wish the CC info would be filled correctly..

Thanks

Re: Credit Card Expiry date

Hello,

Could you try deleting this card entry from your Vault, then re-adding it using the Save All Entered Data method below?

  •  Make sure you are logged in to your LastPass browser extension. Go to the website whose credentials you need to force-save.
  • On the page, fill in your card info.
  • Click the LastPass browser icon, then go to Add item > Save All Entered Data at the bottom of the menu.
Tip: For Internet Explorer users, click the active LastPass icon, then go to Tools > Save All Entered Data.
  • All captured fields are displayed. If desired, enter more information and specify your desired settings for the item. Click Save when finished and test again

Re: Credit Card Expiry date

This does not help. It is not a website that specifically doesnt fill correctly it is a credit card that fills incorrectly on most sites. I tried what you suggested and I dont get a credit card entry I get a web address. The next time I go to fill in a credit card, not only will it not be able to fill the expiry date but now it wont fill anything else either as there is no credit card entry now for my visa card.

Re: Credit Card Expiry date

Thanks for giving that a try, and sorry it didn't work correctly--When re-adding the credit card entry with the correct info to your Vault do you still see the incorrect info being auto-filled? If so, could you try these steps to see if it fixes the issue?

  • Open your vault.

  • Select ... More Options

  • Select Advanced.

  • Select Credit Monitoring

  • Select + on lower right

  • Edit the "notes" found there to remove anything saved in these areas, if there are any. Turn off credit monitoring if you have it turned on.

You could also try the steps on these page, just in case it is an old form fill profile that is still saved to LastPass that is somehow being auto filled: https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass/help/im-on-the-new-lastpass-experience-why-cant-i-find-my-fo...

Re: Credit Card Expiry date

I followed your instructions and there was no change. Also there are no notes.

I also found my Amex card had the same issue n the site I was trying to use (Cox & Cox). Please try yourself and you will see the problem.

I tried to use the new card record on a couple of other sites and it worked fine. Does it matter if the site asks for "Expiry", "Expiry date", or expiration date". Surely Lastpass would recognize all these as valid?

Re: Credit Card Expiry date

This would unfortunately be due to how the site's form is coded, if the new card entry is not working on certain cites which is outside of LastPass' control. We would recommend using the "Help Improve LastPass on this Site" feature in the LastPass extension so that our team can be made aware of any sites/pages that have this issue to help improve the recognition of these fields so that LastPass can autofill the correct info on to these pages. To do this, click the LastPass icon in your browser toolbar > Account Options > Help Improve LastPass on this Site (please note this is not yet available for the Firefox extension, but the Chrome and Edge browsers have this option available.)

Re: Credit Card Expiry date

There are lots of sites that don't  work with my lastpass expiry dates. That's a lastpass issue. In fact as laspass puts in the WRONG date as opposed to no date that is obviously a lastpass issue.

I would say 30% of the time this happens.

Is there a work around?

If the field says "expiry" instead of "expiration date" would you expect Laspass to enter the wrong date? If so can I add another field to the credit card fill with the different  naming?

Re: Credit Card Expiry date

LastPass not recognizing my new Credit Card Expiry Date and CCV it enters the Original Information has anyone else had this issue.

Re: Credit Card Expiry date

Using Lastpass to fill in credit cards is a real pain because the dates of expiration are wrong.  Why?  Because when you fill it out in the Vault it saves it in the wrong format.  For example if my card expires in March 2023 it will fill it in as 03\023
