Export vault (free mobile)

I’m looking to export my vault via my account however, if I log in via the web it wants me to switch to desktop which it isn’t what I want to do. I’m looking to switch to another password manager app since LastPass has decided to do away with the free version by limiting how many Mobile devices you can use. I will not pay an exorbitant price.

Please let me know how I can get my data.

Currently it is not possible to export account data using the mobile apps, if you switch to desktop you can export from there

Exported but no data

So as a free user I logged into my account via a computer and made the switch from my mobile. Went in and exported my data. Logged off and opened the exported data. It did NOT export my data. By this time I logged off my computer and switched back to mobile. Now when I log back in I’m notified this is my last switch. THIS NOT ACCEPTABLE. What can you do to help?

Hi @gothicus 

 

Can you please confirm which export method you used and which web browser?

 

You can export from the browser extension: left click the icon > Account Options > Advanced > Export > LastPass CSV. (Then you  might be asked to enter your Master Password again). 

 

You can export your data while  signed into your vault directly on our website: click Advanced Options > Export (a verification email is sent, open it and click on the link to continue), return to your Vault, then go to Advanced Options > Export again. 

 

I would suggest the first method using the LastPass extension in Chrome, I have tested multiple times with my test accounts.

I went to the advanced settings, and selected export data. From there I had to verify my selection which I did. Then I went back via the advanced settings and selected export data. This opened a new window showing my data, and I got prompted to save the csv file which I did.
I was using Firefox when I did this.

Are you saying I can use the chrome plugin without switching to desktop mode and being stuck using desktop mode?

LastPass Free customers that have Mobile set has their device type can still sign in on the website or through the browser extension to access Account Settings and Advanced Options without having to switch to Desktop. Just dismiss the message about switching when you sign in. 

 

There is an issue with Exporting when you do this currently, but support can enable additional switches for you until it is fixed. I added 2 more switches to your account yesterday so you could switch to Desktop and back to Mobile after the export.
