Re: Fingerprint doesn't work with LastPass in Chrome

If you're using LastPass on your Windows 10 computer but the fingerprint feature is not working properly, make sure your machine meets the necessary system requirements. Run the latest Windows 10 OS version. Don't run outdated browser versions. Install the latest Windows Biometric Framework drivers.

Re: Fingerprint doesn't work with LastPass in Chrome

Thanks for the suggestion, but this has been regardless of Windows version for me. I experience this on multiple PCs, all running the latest version of 21H2, Windows 10 and 11.

It’s been so long that using the workaround is just automatic for me.

Re: Fingerprint issue

I have a similar issue with not being able to access the pop up window in IPad. Can you please add it to the list that needs fixing. I dint have a work around

Re: Fingerprint issue

Whelp, the workaround (right-clicking the extension) has stopped working for me, so now I can't use my fingerprint reader at all. It works when I log into Windows. The option is enabled in my LastPass settings. But nope.

This has been an issue for nearly two years. Two years! Does anyone from GoTo or LogMeIn or whatever company owns LastPass this week care at all? Is everyone too busy dealing with the latest security breach to devote any effort to making the product better (or, more accurately, to prevent the product from getting worse)?

Re: Fingerprint issue

The work-around stopped working on one PC for me.

The option to right click the LastPass Chrome icon and select "LastPass" and be asked for my fingerprint - that option disappeared,

I found that removing and reinstalling the LastPass Chrome extension fixed the problem. The right-click option reappeared after reinstalling the extension.

Suggest you try that...

Re: Fingerprint issue

Unfortunately with the new 4.107.0 Chrome extension we lost this possibility...

Does anybody have a still working solution?

Re: Fingerprint issue

The workaround is still working for me using Win10 and Chrome extension 4.107.0.

Re: Fingerprint issue

I haven't been able to get the workaround working in 4.107.0. In the past when the fingerprint has issues, I can generally fix it by going into the settings and disabling and then re-enabling the fingerprint, but no luck so far.  This may provide the motivation I need to find another password management solution after all the other baloney that's been going on. Frankly the fact that we've been having to lean on this workaround for a couple years now probably should've already motivated me to look elsewhere...

Re: Fingerprint issue

I found the solution - as somebody mentioned earlier. After opening your vault, from vault menu open advanced options and switch off "use improved save and fill"

Re: Fingerprint issue

Thanks! Yes, switching off advanced save and fill solved the problem.
