Firefox 56.0.1 Error retrieving LatPass sites

When I log into LastPass my stored LastPass sites do not appear. I get the following error message: "An error occurred while retrieving your LastPass sites. Please try to log back in to retrieve your sites. Repeated attempts over two days result in the same situtation. I've deleted and reinstalled the Firefox extension but that did not resolve the situation. Any suggestions?

Same with me using Firefox 56.0 on macOS Sierra 10.12.6. No problems when using Safari or iOS-app.

Also happens for me since today with Firefox 56.0.1 64bit Windows 10.
A bit paralyzing. When logging into Last Pass web site can see my vault there but my local vault is empty of sites and so no auto fill.

Also facing the same issue with Firefox 56.0 (64 bit) on Windows. Removing and re-installing the add on did not resolve the problem.
This has been happening for quite a few days. I just hope this empty vault does not synchronize and accidentally deletes my sites.

I am getting the same exact error, it doesn't matter if I login from Firefox or from the online website

Same thing happened to me in Firefox 56.0 on Windows 10. The following from the support site topic "Some or all of my sites are gone! How do I get them back?" fixed the problem:
"go to your LastPass icon -> More Options -> Advanced -> Clear local cache and then LastPass Icon -> More Options -> Advanced -> Refresh sites."
