Firefox 57 support on Linux

I was a long time LastPass user and after upgrading to Firefox 57 - I'm pretty disappointed. It's completely unusable.

The last topic updating the status was in October 2017: https://blog.lastpass.com/2017/10/lastp ... x-57.html/

Would it kill you to update the status on the Firefox addon page? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... d-manager/

This is incredibly frustrating and I'm switching to a different password manager, probably something like pass.

Thanks.

I would like to know as well, if there will be soon an update. If not I have to say goodbye to lastpass

Re: Firefox 57 support on Linux

Yeah, it's awfully broken:

1) The Multifactor popup is blank, and I have to right-click it so Firefox will show the window contents
2) Right-clicking on site name so I can choose Copy Password doesn't work anymore, I have to edit the entry so I can copy the password
3) Clicking on the browser extension icon doesn't work for Private windows
4) I can't never tell if I have the latest version because the version numbers on addons.mozilla.org and lastpass.com/download often don't match, the release notes are not updated as soon as a new version is released, and the version number shown by Firefox's Addon Manager (currently 4.2.3.20) doesn't match the other version numbers (v4.2.3 / v4.2.3a).

And the recent 100% price increase makes my tolerance for these bugs much lower. 1Password is getting more and more attractive to my eyes (and wallet).

Re: Firefox 57 support on Linux

Wow, I'm surprised there is not more response to this. I have the same empty browser extension in Private windows on FF57. It's been going on for way to long w/o any update or mention of the problem. Will probably see a fix about the time they change FF so something else won't work with LP. Endless.

Re: Firefox 57 support on Linux

I opened a support ticket about the item 2 I posted above, and got LastPass Support replied that the binary component is currently broken for Firefox 😞

It's not just the Linux version that doesn't work in FF57+ private windows. The PC version is affected as well. Has been this way since November.

They're not even trying to fix it. If they are, they're horridly incompetent. Siegrist should be ashamed of himself for selling out to these clowns.

Re: Firefox 57 support on Linux

The problem has been ignored for months by the lastpass team. Still no solution in sight. Try bitwarden as a non-perfect, but working alternative. It also has an import feature by which you can migrate all your lastpass data.
