It's a pain, but I got around it by doing a search on the XML file for fields that might have numeric entries (password, username, custom fields etc.) and inserting some unique text at the start of that field. E.g. "_removeme_".
The import will then work. You just have to go through the imported passwords and remove your unique text.
OK if you've got a modest number of entries to import, PITA if there are 100s...

I've tried to take a copy of my database and remove every entry except one. I have no folders either.
The entry has no notes and user name, password and URL fields are filled. There is no number in the username or the password.
But still can't import the xml.
No, and they closed my support case thinking this is the root issue.
Thats not how it works, you leave the case pending awaiting the result of the bug fix for the root cause.
Since i am waiting now for more then a month on Lastpass Support with no updates on the issue whatsoever i manually copy and pasted all entry's (800+) to lastpass.

Thank you for the possibility to test the fix! Unfortunately it does not work for me either. There is improvements though! The difference is that I am able to list all my 542 passwords. I get to the preview where I am able to address incomplete items before import. Previously Lastpass got stuck before creating that list.
Now I see all my passwords but when pressing import all The icon with the three dots in the upper right corner starts to move the dots but nothing happens. It is difficult to know how long the import will be, but I waited a good 5 minutes before I refreshed the page and my vault is completely empty.
