When logging into my LastPass account, I get the following message prompt saying:
Check your inbox for an email from LastPass: ********@gmail.com
However, the email is actually being sent not to my login email but to my security email. There is no way for me to access the deactivated security email account as the domain was deleted a while ago. Please assist in resolving this issue. I can't contact customer support or submit a ticket since I don't have a paid subscription.
Are you in a different geographical location or running a VPN software making it appear you are in a different location? Do you have any other devices running Lastpass?
I have the same issue. I lost access to my security email service and I also lost access to the phone number used as for sms code recovery. I do not know how I am supposed to get back into my account now.
I am not using a VPN or any other thing that would make my security email service unusable, nor do I have any other devices using LastPass atm.
I'm in the same location and I'm not running any vpn. No other device is running LastPass. The only thing that has changed is that I changed my internet provider last month.
Though I appreciate your comment and understand the effect of the data breach, my frustration grows from the fact that after searching recently posted solutions to this problem, the solution came in the form of a moderator intervening and helping. My account does have other security measures in place that should further deny a malicious user from gaining access. Lastly, I did receive a reply from the help desk with a formal ticket being opened to resolve the issue. However, after responding to the information requested, all communications have stopped. Even after several attempts to reach out to them.
