Yesterday, I was logging into a site I use everyday. I was prompted by that site to update my password. I generated a new password in LastPass and updated it in the site. LastPass saved the new password for that site.
Today, I went to log into the same site. But I got an error that the passwrod was incorrect. So I went to LastPass to copy the password directly. I got the same error.
So I checked the password history and uncovered the password. What I saw was a password I do not recall generating. It did not match what was generated the day before.
However, when I go to the saved site's dashboard and uncover the password, it's correct. And that one works. It's only when I view the password history that I'm seeing an erroneous value.
