Password recovery link does not work

I have forgotten my master password. I have tried to use the account recovery functionality. I have received the email with a link, but when I try to use it I'm getting the following error:

Please enter a valid username or one-time password.

If you are confident you are entering valid information, contact your LastPass administrator or LastPass support. One-time login may be restricted by your organization.

I'm still logged in in browser extension (chrome), I'm using the link in the same browser in which the extension is active.

From what I can see, the master password was changed in March, I would like to avoid reverting this change because I don't want to loose the data that has changed since then.

How can I move forward?

I've managed to get that sorted out... clearing the cookies for lastpass.com did the trick

Re: Password recovery link does not work

Good on you ktyl. Thx for that tip.

Now, Moderators, how about EXPLAINING ON THE PLACE WHERE WE USERS ARE SUPPOSED TO ENTER THE ONE-TIME PASSWORD HOW TO "Generate a one-time Password" specifically for LP.

There are lots of pwd generators, including my brain.  I used it to generate one, typed it in, then was told it had specific requirements, one of which is it has to be 32 characters.  It's not easy to count how many, so why not include a simple way of telling, and tell us the requirements BEFORE we "generate"?   Please.

Re: Password recovery link does not work

I stumbled on   https://support.lastpass.com/s/document-item?language=en_US&bundleId=lastpass&topicId=LastPass/lastp...

which I found very clearly written.   It explains thoroughly the OTP idea, with plenty of "Do This/ Don't do Thats" etc.

I would now suggest that having links to explain Generating  OTPs, wherever they are to be entered, would be useful.
