Security email - what is it?

Hello,

I've spent most of the afternoon trying to recover my Last Pass master password.  I requested a reset and I received an email with this content:

"LastPass forgotten email password.  We received a request to perform a secure operation for your LastPass account.

Check your 'Security Email' account to view the security notification."

I am pretty well versed in all things internet but I have never heard of the term "Security Email".  I looked it up on google and the term does not appear.

Any advice?

Some users choose to set up a Security email that is different than their LastPass account email to which security notifications can be sent. For more information on security emails, please visit: https://support.lastpass.com/help/add-an-email-address-for-security-alerts-lp030007

If your account has a security email, account verification emails will be sent there.
