Greetings,
What LastPass products natively support Apple M1 (Apple Silicon)? Earlier in 2021 LastPass said they were shifting their support towards a web app that supports M1, but as of right now the download page does not designate if anything is a Universal App. On top of this, the fact that the old Mac App Store app still exists adds to the confusion.
Is M1 natively supported, and if so, what products?

Hi @Former Member
Currently, there are no plans for a native version of LastPass specifically for the M1 Macs. The Mac App available on the LastPass website is the latest version.
hi, is there a plan to convert Intel to universal image (to run on new Apple Silicon laptops)?
Hello,
Our development team does hope to release an update for LastPass to support Apple Silicon, although we do not have a date or ETA to share just yet. Please keep and eye on the Release Notes page as we will update that page with any news about native support for Apple Silicon in the future.

Is the Safari extension supposed to work on MacBook M1?
Hi @otterit,
The LastPass extension for Safari is included with the LastPass Mac App that you can download using the link above.
I appreciate the forthright statement, but I also urge you to reconsider; Apple Silicon is not a "new fad", and it's not a minor thing that your app only works with rosetta. It's most likely not super difficult to get it to build for arm64, though getting the universal binary set up might be a bit of a pain -- you could also just offer two downloads, though I know that has its own cost.
The problem is that to use lastpass on safari you have to run the lastpass app, which means basically keeping that open all the time; anything which requires rosetta 2 to function increases the drain on the battery and thus many people (myself included) prefer to avoid using any "long-running" applications which aren't running arm64 natively.
We're already at a point where nearly all currently sold mac systems run on apple silicon -- it isn't just a few users that you're affecting, though I recognize that the overall percentage of your userbase may still be small.
Lastpass, Update software to Apple silicon (M1)!!!! You will lose all Mac users otherwise.
Is there a road map for it? I mean you will have to do it at some point.
Maybe allow us to hide LastPass app from the top menu bar? The search doesn't work anyway
