NLA Error

We have a user that is trying to use Remote Desktop through a VPN connection to their desktop. The system also has Logmein for remote support. The user is getting the following error if they try to use Remote Desktop after a restart:

The remote computer you are trying to connect to requires Network Level Authentication (NLA), but your Windows domain controller cannot be contacted to perform NLA. If you are an administrator you can disable NLA by using the options on the Remote tab of the System Properties dialog box.

I found that if I connect to the system with Logmein (I don't have to log in all the way) the user is then able to login without the error.

System is Windows 10 Pro.
