Unlock windows without typing password! How to enable?

Hello

I've got a logmein account with several computers connected (free subscriptions): when I select one I have to write the windows credentials I want to use, and since I don't have Central I can't save the credentials and that's fine! Then when I get to the desktop the remote windows will ask me again for credentials and normally Logmein will just offer to complete them without having to type everything again!

Something like this  http://cl.ly/8d28b367b3b9f8533da8

It's a very useful feature, especially when I use ignition from iphone/ipad.

What I don't understand is why this works on all my computers except two, that just don't show up this feature...

I understand that this is a free feature that is enabled by default, and that you need Central+Pro if you need to disable... but in my case I need to enable it! Any Idea?

Thanks in advance!

you probably mean that those two machines have set windows password and lock you out when switching users or boot up ends at login into acct? In that case you need to google how to get to ctrl panel 'UserAccounts2' to automatically log into admin or user accts even when the windows has passworded admin acct

Unfortunately this is not the case. Windows asks for authentication and that is normal expected behavior. I can't and don't want to configure automatic login to windows.

I'm just wondering why this function http://cl.ly/8d28b367b3b9f8533da8 from logmein seems to be disabled on some computers while on others works great... Mind that all the computers are configured to ask for authentication and lock the screen.

Re: Unlock windows without typing password! How to enable?

I am seeing this, to. and it is driving me crazy. i don't think it is an issue of the remote, but of the platform I use to connect to remote. for instance, with ipad, it always asks for password, or worse, i have to send ctrl-alt-del combo to bring up login screen. over and over I have to do this whenever the remote pc connection times out. if i connect with an Android phone, i get unlock option, like in the screen shot. it may have something to do with the resolution the remote gets set at, upon connection. If it's greater, for instance, than the device, i don't get the prompt. E.g. ipad is 1024x768. If the remote is also 1024x768, then the unlock prompt appears. If it's 1600 x 1200, no prompt, :-(

Re: Unlock windows without typing password! How to enable?

Resurrection time!

There is a dearth of information on this topic, and I have come to the conclusion I must not be able to search the topic adequately, as I've only found THIS thread on this issue, and I can't believe people just accept entering Windows Logon information twice EVERY time.

The common issue I see is that on XP, Windows Server 2008, I get the pop up so I don't enter the information twice.

On all Windows 7 machines, I don't get the prompt.

Is this something that Win 7 doesn't allow, perhaps?

More importantly - Any workaround?

This can be done on Windows 7, if you already have some advanced computer skills , Some commands are good ideas , you can use it to reset the Windows password, and you can access your computer without enputting any password .

Re: Unlock windows without typing password! How to enable?

It seems that only tools can do that,if you want to unlock Windows password without typing password,as long as 3 party tools is able to bypass the login password.Otherwise,it is hard for you to do.

You can lean about them:

https://www.password-changer.com/index.html

They are powerful at unlocking Windows password.
