Windows 10 v2004 blocks screen blanking ability

I know this post is old, but it cannot be a "hardware" issue. I just did a windows 10 update and now my screens will not go "blank". Is there an update to this issue?

Re: Windows 10 v2004 blocks screen blanking ability

Thanks for your patience everyone.

We've released an update that fixes the screen blanking failure for hosts running Windows v2004 and higher.  Please upgrade affected PCs to LogMeIn host software 4.1.0.14344 in order to activate the new screen blanking method.

Re: Problems with Blanking of the Host Screen During Remote Control (Windows 10)

OK, Attorney office,   Bookeeper/Senior Partner just upgrade from 3 19 Inch to 2, 27 Inch Everything display port..  Now it will not blank...

NO os changes, All using Dedicated Video Display NO blanking...

Other users in office, using Built in Video card with 2 monitors no issues...

Re: Problems with Blanking of the Host Screen During Remote Control (Windows 10)

Hey folks,

I apologize for the screen blanking issues affecting some Windows 10 machines running the newest updates (V2004+).  We noted a programming change with this new version that disallowed the mechanism previously used to overlay the display.  We're working on a new solution for this scenario and I hope to have more information soon.

[Update]  We have created some clearer documentation around this issue as the work on a resolution continues:  https://supportstage.logmeininc.com/central/help/screen-blanking-does-not-work-on-my-windows-10-host...

This has been going on for very long time, I don't understand why there is no solution.

I  will not renew LogMeIn for my users.

Please update immediately, this is imperative to my business and we will need to move our business elsewhere within days if not fixed.

Re: Problems with Blanking of the Host Screen During Remote Control (Windows 10)

@tolitski This issue began after a recent Microsoft decision to block the previous method of screen blanking on Windows 10 OS V2004 and newer.  While we work with Microsoft to arrange a new, secure method, the only workaround is to revert those systems to the previous Windows version.  I expect more updates around this issue in the coming weeks and thank you for your patience.

Re: Problems with Blanking of the Host Screen During Remote Control (Windows 10)

AshC,

The update which initially installs Win10 2004 cannot be rolled back.  At least not within the Windows network I manage.

This creates a security risk for our off-site workers.

Any updates would be appreciated.

This is also a concern for my tax and accounting firm.
