"Hi. This update seems to have triggered an issue where I have double cursor while using Autodesk programs (Autocad and Revit). This wasn't an issue before this update was automatically installed, so something in the update broke it. Impossible to work like this."
This is strange because with this update I had a 4th screen from nowhere (I have 3 'real' screens) with this double cursor behaviour and I saw it was connected to "LogMeIn Virtual Display Adapter" so I disabled this Virtual Adapter and this 4th screen disappeared.
I think we can say this update have a virtual display adapter driver issue.
OMG thank you.
This was the culprit. I had noticed that Logmein driver in Device Manager > Display, with a March date, but was afraid to disable it, fearing it might break my work from home setup in a way I couldn't fix remotely.
I disabled it just now, and now the double cursor is gone, along with other weirdness in the Logmein option panel.
Thank you so much.
Agree. The host PC screen blanking appears to work, FINALLY.
Disable Logmein display driver on the host PC seems to work.
I had same "lagging" cursor after updating client/host software. When I checked from the host PC, there was no Logmein display driver listed in Device Manager. However, when I connected remotely, and checked the host Device Manager, it shows the Logmein display driver. When I disabled the driver (remotely from client PC), Windows asked to reboot the host PC (I said "no"). The "lagging" cursor continued until I disconnected the remote access. When I reconnected, the "lagging" cursor appears to be gone. Not sure if it will reappear after the host PC reboots (will the Logmein display driver reload?).
So, there appears to STILL be some work needed on the NEW(?) display driver/lagging cursor bug but there is FINALLY a workable solution to the host PC screen blanking.
I am SO glad to pay (a LOT of money) to be part of the Logmein development team. Sure would be nice if Logmein would hand out some swag or at least list all subscribers as part of the development team. LOL
@GregLMI We continue to roll out the new version to all accounts, which should complete in the coming days. There are still a couple of issues we're tracking, with regards to admin permissions blocking part of the set up, as well as multiple monitor issues where the host display set up may be abnormal or unexpected. I hoe to have more info on these soon.
I disabled the Logmein display driver and it stopped the cursor lag but apparently it just makes the screen unblanked on host end. On user end blank screen is checked but the host pc just looks as if it was unblanked. Now the Logmein display driver is gone from my device list and i dont know how to enable it again so that i can at least blank the screen when im not using the remote pc.
Any way i can fix this at least until the lag issue is resolved?
@GregLMI We have identified part of the problem, with the combination of Screen Blanking + HD Color Quality
I hope to have more information about the development of a patch soon. Sorry this is taking a while to resolve.
