With the upgrade to macOS Monterey 12.3 Apple removed Python from the OS, specifically Python 2.7 which apparently the LogMeIn Rescue Technician console requires. Doing a manual install of Python 2.7 doesn't fix the issue even though the path to the version LMIR seems to want does exist. Launching the Technician console just causes it to crash.
The crash log has this:
Termination Reason: Namespace DYLD, Code 1 Library missing
Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python
Referenced from: /Applications/LogMeIn-Rescue.app/Contents/MacOS/LogMeIn-Rescue
Reason: tried: '/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python' (no such file)
(terminated at launch; ignore backtrace)
Application Specific Information:
Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python

Is there an update coming soon or even a beta that will allow us to continue using the technician console on the current version of macOS? We are dead in the water right now and having to spin up older computers just to use the product.
Solved! Go to Solution.
[Update] The new version should now be live for all accounts.
Thanks for your patience.
Hi @tkw4u
I apologize for the difficulty there.
We have a beta version that should resolve the problem, if you can download and install this manually on the problem Mac: http://beta.logmeinrescue.com/
Thanks, a beta would be a good step in the right direction. The link you posted redirects to gamma.logmeinrescue.com which is just a sales page. Going to the LMIR downloads page lists the Windows beta for download but not the Macs. Is there an active link for the Mac?
@tkw4u If you look at the top-right of the web page, there should be a login option. After that, the My Account page will have a download option for the beta console.
I am logged in and I do not see a Mac Beta version. Only Windows. Please supply a direct link to the Beta. I cannot use the app any longer.
Never mind, I was able to get the beta version and it is running under 12.3.
Thank You
We were finally able to get in and download the beta. So far it seems to be working fine for the macOS 12.3 users.
I'm not able to find the beta download anywhere. Could you tell me where you found it?
I've encountered or have been redirected to multiple GoTo and LogMeIn websites, only one of which I have an account for (https://www.logmeinrescue.com/ ). That page takes me to https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/TechnicianConsole/Launch after logging in which doesn't have an explicit My Account button/link (the https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/Account/My at the top-left simply redirects me to the /TechnicianConsole/Launch page).
Could you please let me know where download the Technician Console beta for macOS? As others have pointed out, the downloads page only shows the beta for Windows, but I need the macOS beta. It seems some other posters have found it, but I don't know where.
Here's a direct download location for the beta version: https://beta.logmeinrescue.com/Files/TechConsoleMAC/LogMeInRescueTechnicianConsoleMAC.dmg
Please let me know if you cannot access this location or there are any issues with installation.
