Firefox to start asking permission to copy from LastPass

Hi,

Firefox has updated their security policies which now requires users to allow or deny the permission for LastPass to copy Vault data (e.g., username, password, URL, form fields, etc.) to the clipboard when using the LastPass online web Vault, web browser extension, or in-field icon.

To allow Firefox permission to copy data from your Vault to your clipboard, do the following:

1. Log in to LastPass with your username and Master Password.
2. Locate your desired item, then click Copy.
3. A message is displayed advising that if you want to copy data to your clipboard from LastPass, click Ask me for permission.
4. When prompted, click Allow.

Your Vault data is now copied to your clipboard for use, and you will no longer be prompted for permission to use the Copy feature.

Note: To reset the accepted permission and be prompted again, you can reinstall the LastPass web browser extension for Firefox.

What happens if I click Deny for the permission?
The Vault data will not be copied to your clipboard if you clicked Deny on the permission prompt, however, the next time you try to copy an item you will be prompted to allow or deny permission once again.

What happens if I clear the Firefox History and Cache or use a Private Tab?

Firefox will not store the cookie showing that you accepted the permission and you will be asked again when you start Firefox.

Re: Firefox to start asking permission to copy from LastPass

"Your Vault data is now copied to your clipboard for use". Doesn't this just make all your passwords completely vulnerable and thereby defeat the purpose of Lastpass?

Re: Firefox to start asking permission to copy from LastPass

This change is not working correctly. The permission request is hidden under the text and looks like a virus or a glitch. Is my LastPass infected?

Hello, please try logging out and logging back into your LastPass account on Firefox and you should then be able to click the Accept button.

Privacy Policy Accept or Decline Popup Nuisance

There seems to be a problem when I select my vault. As you can see in the picture below a popup window for  accepting or declining LastPass privacy policy that overlays my password list. The Accept or Decline buttons are not responsive and the popup window persists disrupting my view of the password vault list. I am using the latest version of LastPass on the latest version  of Firefox. Please advise.

Re: Privacy Policy Accept or Decline Popup Nuisance

Hi @Dennis46, could you try logging out and logging back in to your LastPass account to see if you are then able to click Accept?

Re: Firefox and Lastpass Login problems

EVERY time I login to Lastpass I have to "Accept or Decline"  permission to collect URL addresses.  Why do I need to do this over and over again?  Isn't one time enough?  Every so often,  this thing freezes up my Lastpass and I have to remove it from my Firefox and re-add it.  PLEASE. somebody take charge and fix this issue!
