encryption question

I was wondering if a new, better encryption level came out and lastpass used it would they start chargeing for it and axing all the free users or still keep it free for everyone?

AES-256 and the key generating hashing algorithms aren't going anywhere soon. What prompted your concern?

Re: goingaRe: encryption question

Ahh i see.

A friend was just telling me (in their words) that at some point someone is going to discover a weakness in the strings that holds 256 together that makes decrpyting it easier and that lastpass has no need/use for non-paying users since theres no way to monitize.

They went on for a while but yea kinda just got me a bit worried.
