we're trying to make a list of all our passwords and account information to give to our lawyer and executor in case anything happens to us. when ever we export to a CSV it exports everything but the passwords. we load it into excel and it doesn't show the passwords. we try to print it and we just get a long long long list of "U". we copy and paste into notepad and then it shows everything but in a huge mess. we would like to just be able to print out a simple text file that we can add to the packets. is this possible?
Could you try first making sure the binary component is installed and then exporting the LastPass data again to a generic CSV file to see if you are then able to view all of the CSV data correctly?
To determine if the binary component is installed, do the following:
Click the active LastPass icon in your web browser toolbar.
Go to Account Options > About LastPass.
In the Binary Component section, one of the following will be listed: True = installed False = not installed, click Enable Native Messaging to install it. Once installed, you will need to restart your web browser in order for changes to take effect.
Once you have your exported data saved as CSV format, you should be able to open it in Excel and see at the top the different columns (url, username, etc) and should also be able to print this file as well.
