Unable to open LogMeIn Rescue applet

Hi,

I'm a test taker, and I recently was unable to open the LogMeIn Rescue applet (Version 7.50.435) on a MAC computer (OS: Big Sur, Version 11.0).  I was online with a LMI support expert for around 2 hours and had to reschedule my exam due to these difficulties. Could an expert or someone who has resolved their issue on their mac provide some advice?

Issue:

Whenever I try to run the LMI app, the app's icon briefly appears on my dock then disappears, and never opens.

Tried but failed solutions in the presence of an LMI support expert:

1. deleting all application files and re-installing the app (about 5 times)

2. opening the app on desktop, downloads and application folders (each time with a newly installed LMI app and deleting the previous LMI app)

3. changing security & privacy settings to check accessibility and screen recording access for the app (unchecked and rechecked, deleted and re-added for each time I re-downloaded the app)

4. restarting my computer

5. updating my computer

6. Also, within the application contents → MacOS folder → I ran the Support-LogMeInRescue (Unix Executable File) which read the following after execution:

Successfully reset ScreenCapture approval status for com.logmein.Rescue

Successfully reset ScreenCapture approval status for com.logmein.Rescue

Successfully reset ScreenCapture approval status for com.logmein.Rescue

Hi @alyshiaguan,

I would like to get you in contact with our support team again, do you have a support ticket number from your previous call to them?
