I should be able to contact support and ask for a downloadable archive or a list of direct download links to the videos for a given account. The need for archiving these kinds of things is not that unusual and it shouldn't be such a chore. Re: Install link goes to "service currently unavailable" page This happens intermittently. I've had it happen with users seemingly randomly. The workstations are on our work network, not any other location. > We do have another install option for ITs to use:How do I use the Host Installer? The link on that page just takes me to my account profile page. Do you have a direct link to an offline installer? We've had trouble before and I've had to contact support previously about this. I wish you would just put a permanent link on your support pages for the offline installer. Having users download and run the installer from their browser may seem like a convenience but it is a HUGE hassle for admins. Install link goes to "service currently unavailable" page Several times now when I'm attempting to help a user install and configure GTMPC on their workstation, we get a "service current unavailable. We are working now to resolve the issue" message. Anyone else get this? And where can I just download an offline installer to avoid this? This is incredibly frustrating. SolvedRe: User getting client limit notification Just thinking about this. Conceivably, this user could somehow still be logged in from another client and it's preventing her from logging in at another machine. Is there a way as an admin that I can log her out of the other session that may be interfering? Re: User getting client limit notification I've asked her to get a screenshot of it next time she tries to use it. I'll post it here when she does. It's good to know that there is no limit to clients that have been used though. That seemed unlikely to me and impossible to control. User getting client limit notification I have a user who uses her GTMPC account to access her host machine from multiple other, client machines. She recently received a notice that she has reached the limit of client machines she can connect from. I cannot find any documentation anywhere on the GTMPC support site about a limit to the number of clients a person can use. First, can someone explain what the limit is, how it works, and how an admin can monitor that? I've looked through the admin console and see nothing about this limit or client connections. Second, how do we fix this? The user needs to connect from a new machine and it's not letting her do it. Is there a way to reset this or remove old client machines from the user? Re: Gotomypc update leaves us unable to connect Thanks for the update. Really appreciate that this is being addressed. Re: Gotomypc update leaves us unable to connect This update also seems to be wiping out the C:\Program Files\GoToMyPC folder, leaving it completely empty in some cases, so the previously mentioned clearing of cache files and restarting the service doesn't work in all cases. In those cases, only a reinstall works. Re: Gotomypc update leaves us unable to connect More user today having this problem. You guys didn't test this new version very well apparently. Lots of my time wasted this morning. Do better next time please. Re: Gotomypc update leaves us unable to connect I figured out today that deleting the contents of these two directories on the user's machine: C:\Users\~\AppData\Local\GoToMyPC\* C:\Users\~\AppData\Roaming\GoToMyPC\* -- followed by a restart of the GoToMyPC service on their PC fixes the issue also. A little easier than a full reinstall. 🙂
