Spammers wont be able to select 1 for dept 1, etc. The same goes for direct dial numbers. Set up a dial plan for each direct #, make the caller press 1 to connect. Would only need to be for a few weeks, eventually the calls will stop once they get no human voices to answer their calls. The filter wont work if they are spoofing phone numbers. I just manually added phone buttons to 4 new devices and I came here to suggest this.. An option to copy from another device would be would be a huge time saver. During the holidays I have to redo all the VM audio files so there is a holiday message with out of office info, that said I have had to spend some time in this section of GoTo and found some bugs and have general feedback. Feedback: The new AI tool for text to voice is awesome! The voices are fine (some are hilariously poor), however there are no volume controls, and these are just set to loud. If you need to edit the text from an AI recording you can't once its saved, in fact none of these can be modified after they are saved, so ANY change requires you to delete and start over, even if its a simple volume change. Not a big deal for the recorded or upload options but for the text to speech, 1 word being off and if you saved it.. well now you have to delete it and start over, hope you kept your script somewhere! Possible Bugs or not hashed out features: In the text field you should be able to expand the dialog box to see your full text, however I can only make it smaller by 1 line, seems pointless, only useful if you can make it larger which i'm sure that was the intent. Sound clips used for Shared VMs or Ring groups don't show they are being utilized by an associated resource. This could cause users to delete recordings they may not intend to. Reconciling old audio files was painful because of this. But plan to sit on hold for days until they get someone on the phone. If Kate sees this she may be able to help get your examples directly to T2 calling all - KateG Re: Outbound call issues popped up We have had this issue a few times, each time it was a different cause. 1st time, it was an outside IP address DDOS'ing our phone server. We had to turn on GEO blocking on our firewall to get it to stop, after that calls were back to normal for a few months.. then 2nd time the dial tone provider found equipment that was faulty. To find both of these issues we had to provide direction of the call (outgoing in your case) and # it came from and the # where the call was going, and the exact time of the call. Then the dial tone provider will have to check the back end of the system to see what the errors were on these calls. Ive always been told 3 examples but the more you can provide the better, and the calls have to be within 24 hours of the dead air, I guess the logs have a short life span. The trick will be to get Go To Tier 2 support to see your examples and have time to look into them within 24 hours. A couple of other possibilities: If these are happening from a "campaign" it may be the system auto dial-er timing is off, occurring too fast for the phone system to know its received a dial tone and ready to dial, it basically skips the dial tone check in error. To test this theory you could have users press a line for outgoing..wait until they confirm dial tone then dial. Or phone carriers, you might take a sample if the calls that are getting dead air and see if they are all one carrier, its possible you have been marked for spam calls and the carrier is blocking them altogether. This is a crazy frustrating issue to have so im so sorry you are dealing with this!! Hope you find a resolution soon! Schedule "Temporary message" for Voicemail Boxes Hello! As its the holiday and I find myself unable to set a custom temporary VM recording to the mailboxes needing it. I have to be on the website to perform this on the day(s) its needed, and then replace it with the original msg when we return to the office. It would be better to let us schedule a temporary msg, as its just that, temporary. This would be great not only for holidays but for all users that are out of the office for any short amount of time. Holidays are slightly different since users wont be in the office to set the temporary VM recording (or remove it), which is why I am requesting this to be considered. So looking to bring this up again. Re: Auto Hang up phones when another call comes in. You might test - turning off "call waiting" for one of the extensions and see how it affects the calls. We had several issues with call waiting and our ring groups, so we turned the feature off for all desk phones. The beeping in the agents ear was also very frustrating. Something to try maybe! Re: How do I change the name displayed on the phone? Hello! Sorry to resurrect this old thread but this isn't working for our phones. Using the Yea-link T54W - Display name should be the users name + Ext (shown below), however recently I added a line 2 (no ring) button to each users phone deskphone, now the device name shows "Line 2" instead of their device name. The phones are power over Ethernet, unplugging the device for 20+ minutes and plugging it back in, display name still shows Line 2 in the upper left of the phones display. Settings: What the phone shows: Have tried rebooting at the device, from the admin site, resync'd.. What I haven't tried re-provisioning, resetting the phone to factory. It did this for everyone I added a Line 2 (no ring) button - 10 + users - all their desk phones now show this as their display name. Any suggestions? Would re-provisioning, resetting the phone to factory be something to try? and would it mess anything up? TY in advance! Re: Blocking GoTo Spam without effecting meeting invites Just to add to this discussion.. IMO There should be a place in the admin center to block marketing emails to our users. We don't use this platform to market for GoTo - its the only service we use that does this. One of the problems, or disconnects, is that GoTo is sending these emails regardless if we use that product line ( in my most recent example would be for teams integration), to users that don't have any say in the product choices, nor the time to sit in on these. These emails should be sent to the Admins, from there they can decide if its appropriate to be sent to the users, if it even pertains to them. Our filter is catching them, but you all should know they are being marked for phishing Like K12Sys, we are going to block this from reaching any employees.. at least for now. 😃
