(Instant Response) 10DLC Registration questions.

It looks like the required 10DLC registration is a bit confusing for our use case.
We purely use SMS through the instant response service provided by Grasshopper.
We do not market or use SMS campaigns.

When filling out the registration form, there are a few questions regarding client opt-in/out that we simply do not have.

We have the ability to add these options to our website but even this doesn't make much sense.

If the client never goes to our website and instead calls our number directly and we miss the call, they will still receive a text message from the instant response service without ever opting in.

On the other side of that, let's say the client does go and chooses to opt-out of receiving SMS.
Grasshopper is not connected to our website in any way so if that client calls, the instant response service would still send out a message.

Is anyone successfully registered that is using SMS through instant response only?
Any help or information would be appreciated!

Hi Kwill24, welcome to the community.

All Grasshopper accounts are considered businesses regardless of their specific use case, so registration is a requirement if you want your messages delivered. 10DLC registration requires a visible way for your customers to opt-in and opt-out of receiving your messages. If a customer opts-out messages need to stop immediately our the Carriers may decide to block your account.

I would recommend adding a page or section to your website and including a link to it in your initial message. I believe mentioning this in your Privacy policy is also something they look for when you register for 10DLC
