I am running Android 11 and I can't get the IPSec VPN connection to work after installing the two CA certs and the client cert and configuring the IPSec VPN on my Android device. I configured the VPN as shown via the 'Preview Android Config' option on the 'Mobil' tab when editing my client device shown on the My Networks page of the LogMeIn website. When I ask the Android device to connect to this IPSec VPN it just says "unsuccessful". Not much help.
I WAS able to configure and connect to a PPTP VPN using the same server name, user name and password as specified for the IPSec VPN. After doing that I can see, in the Hamachi client window on my laptop, that my Android device has a green dot, but when I right click on that device and choose 'Browse' nothing happens.
I tried a right click and chose 'Diagnose' and I got the following:
Tunnel: OK
Local results:
Adapter configuration: OK
Traffic test: OK
Peer results: [285-539-558]
Adapter configuration: OK
Traffic test: This peer is not eligible for remote testing
Also, when I go back to the LogMeIn website, and again 'Edit' my mobile device and choose the 'Mobile' tab, I tried to have the mobile device join my Hamachi network by filling in the Network ID and password in the "Join Network" area. There I just get a "Join error" message at the top of the page. Again, not much help.
Lastly, what I don't understand is how I'll be able to 'Browse' the file system on my laptop from the Android device even if I was able to resolve the above issues. Apparently there isn't the equivalent of the Hamachi client app for Android. So even if I'm able to get the Android device set up as a member of the Hamachi network, how can I access files on my laptop from the tablet?
