Drawing Tools are Not Available

We found it very convenient to have the drawing tool. unfortunately, the current app version and the web browser version are missing the drawing tool and that has been very frustrating and very inconvenient.

when the screen is shared and given control to the person to make notes. only the mouse control options working.  the person who is seeing the shared screen can't highlight or use the pen.

Is there any way to have the drawing tool back? why did the drawing tool disappear? when can we expect the drawing tool to be available?

    Hi TKI_  welcome to the GoTo Community. Currently the active presenter on the desktop app can use drawing tools, but our team is working on improvements to the feature, including allowing attendees to draw on presenter's screen in the new year. 

     

    • You may want to check out Glenn's post here about how to use the Miro whiteboard, for group drawing. 
    • There is also a workaround that you may want to try until the feature is fully available: 
      • The Presenter can choose the Draw options: Size, Color, and Opacity for the attendee and then give the remote control to the attendee to draw on their screen share.

      It appears the lack of drawing tools for everyone is still missing in the newest version of the desktop release? I found two discussions about this issue, the one in this thread from late 2023 and one from 2022. Neither provide a satisfactory solution for the way we use GoToMeeting.

      Hi Kate! Thanks for jumping in on this, I was also pretty strained today realizing my meeting attendees cannon draw. The only reason I have used goto meeting for years is this pen feature, I'll probably need to find another service. Do you think this feature can be restored to what it was before the new year?
