Cannot connect from Pakistan
I have started a 7-day free trial to evaluate GoToMyPC. I am located in Pakistan and the computer I need to connect to is in Australia. My colleague has installed GoToMyPC on the Mac computer. We tested the setup from another laptop at the same office location. That test worked. However, when I tried from my computer here in Pakistan, the initial confirmatory dialog box (Web Session) did not appear. I clicked the "connect" button, but nothing happens.
I ran the connection wizard and the result was “the connection wizard was unable to find appropriate connection settings – please contact global customer support. That means calling a US phone number and the timezone makes that difficult as there is a 13 hour difference from here in Islamabad.
Pakistan has recently imposed tight restrictions on using a VPN of any kind. Could that be the explanation? Has anyone in this community been able to use GoToMyPC from Pakistan?
