Dual Monitors - Hit dual monitor and one monitor gets huge/split on 2 screens

This happens randomly. I have dual monitors at host computer and dual monitors at remote computer. When I log in and hit dual monitors, sometimes my two monitors come up perfect without issue. Other times when I hit dual monitors, I get one monitor screen split over two monitors. The icons are huge and you can't use either screen. Any ideas on why this happens and how to fix it?
