KateG - this continues - every minute there is an Error in Event Viewer for g2avrs.exe.  1,440 times per day.

 

Is your team doing anything?  My PC's (host) version of GTMP is 2023.9.3854.

 

And why are you not telling us what g2avrs.exe does anyway?

    Hey glnzglnz,

     

    It appears that certain LogMeIn Antivirus installation files may have become corrupted on your system, with "g2avrs.exe" being the associated process.

     

    To address this issue, kindly proceed with uninstalling the antivirus software and then reinstalling it. This should effectively resolve the problem.

     

    Should the error persist even after a reinstallation and system restart, please consider uninstalling the application once more. Additionally, make sure to thoroughly eliminate any residual files before initiating the LogMeIn Antivirus installation process again. This approach will likely rectify the issue and ensure a clean and effective reinstallation of LMI AV.

      Abishek - This is occurring at my company office where the company has given me one of its four user licenses for GTMP.  (Everyone else gets something inferior.)  I am not in a position to do anything like what you suggest on my office PC.

      1. Before I advise my IT group, please clarify - does the GTMP host have its own separate anti-virus?  Always? 
      2. If my company PC has company-supplied anti-virus (including Bitdefender Endpoint Security), should my GTMP host on that PC be running its own anti-virus anyway?

      Please advise for each question.  Thanks.

        Please find my answer below:

        1. Before I advise my IT group, please clarify - does the GTMP host have its own separate anti-virus?  Always?                                                                                                                                                                                                        Answer: GTMPC has its own antivirus; however, it will only be effective if your GTMPC administrator has installed it on your PC.
        2. If my company PC has company-supplied anti-virus (including Bitdefender Endpoint Security), should my GTMP host on that PC be running its own anti-virus anyway?                                                                                            Answer: In this scenario, the GTMPC antivirus will not be operational.
