printing pdf's

Recently we were told about a problem with gotomypc and printing PDF's remotely using Adobe.  When we try to print we get an error.  We switched to Edge and are able to print, but the functionality in Edge is not good.  We were told this is a known issue at gotomypc.  Is there a fix in place or a better work around other than using Edge?

    Hi awphillips,

From our internal testing so far we believe this is isolated to Windows-to-windows sessions, there were no issues observed printing from the Mac viewer. We strongly suspect an Adobe update from Nov 2022 is the root cause of this issue and is related to certain print parameters being excluded from the print job.

A potential workaround, for now, is to:

    1. Connect to your Host PC  (Windows to Windows).
    2. Open the desired PDF file/document using the latest Acrobat Reader on the host computer.
    3. Navigate to the Print dialog from the file menu.
    4. Select 'GoToMyPC Printer' from the printer option (it will be selected by default, InSession).
    5. Click on the page setup option available on the bottom left side of the print dialog.
    6. Click on the paper size and change the default selection to any other available size except letter into A4.
    7. Click on OK to save the changes.
    8. Click on the Print button on the main printer dialog window.

This has to be performed once per session.

We believe Adobe may fix this issue in an upcoming update, but we are also working on a possible fix from out side as well. We will post an update when we have more news to share.

We would also like an update. Using Edge doesn't seem to be a good workaround for us.

bradr1  I apologize for the difficulty.  We are working to resolve this compatibility issue now, and I expect a resolution in the coming weeks.

What is the ETA of this being fixed? I just receive a feedback request for case #17713698 which apparently was just closed. The issue is NOT resolved. By the way, it's not just Adobe. We also have pdfDocs which completely freezes instead of giving an error message like Acrobat.
