unable to access a local camera / microphone when working remotely
annoys me constantly:
I am working remotely (from ...home) on my desktop at the office, when i get a ZOOM... call. I, at a minimum, need access to my microphone and ideally to my camera (to hear / see me at home (where i am...);
HOWEVER, if I respond to the request for the call trough remote access, the microphone and camera connecting are those at the remote location (not those that can actually hear / see me.
I can print through remote access to my local printer. Isn't there a way to also microphone/cam locally through remote... ?

Seems like an arcane, if not lame excuse. Particularly in the age of FIOS 1g connections and online gaming. ( sorry, but that’s my perspective ) - GlennD4 years agoGoTo Manager
Hi MKub3905, welcome to the community.
GoToMyPC can transmit the audio from your Host computer back to you, but for an online meeting or VoIP call, you will need to open that directly on your Home computer. Even if GoToMyPC had support to stream your webcam and mic back to the Host computer it would most likely add lag to your connection.
