Inattentive alerts for attendees

In the new version of GoToTraining you can see how many people in the meeting are inattentive, but you can no longer see which of your attendees are the ones who are inattentive. For our meetings we need to have 100% participation and attentiveness so need to know who has something else open so we can reach out to them to correct the issue. In the old "classic" format a warning triangle icon would show next to the attendees name in the attendee list.

Will this functionality be added back to the new version?

  • Sorry for the delay. At the moment, we are not planning to have this indicator on an individual level of attendees, for two reasons:

    1. It’s a little bit misleading because an attendee can be attentive without focusing on the GoTo window but we mark them as inattentive.
    2. We are currently attempting to avoid multiple trackings on the attendee panel as it will impact system performance.

This is subject to change as we improve the new experience and performance of the software.

    Hi @CapeWeb,

I hope to have some news on the progress of feature parity next week.

This is a big issue for us. One of the reasons we chose GoToTraining as the platform we use is because of the inattentive alerts which are required by the regulatory bodies that set up requirements for our classes.

It is available in the classic version and makes absolutely no sense that it would not have been transitioned to the new version.  What is the point of the new system telling you people aren't paying attention if you can't tell who those people are and address it with them privately!?

If something as simple as showing an icon next to someone's name to show they are inattentive will affect system performance that badly, then your new system is not up to scratch. Although, I don't doubt it will cause issues because even having everyone raise their hand at the same time causes the new system to lag and freeze.
