sms registration headache

Should not be this hard. Switched to grasshopper from another provider, kinda disappointed, I know that it's a mandated program registration- but for a small business this has been a nightmare and a loss of business. At least with my previous provider, I was still receiving the inbound texts. I have spent hours in this stupid registration.

Rejection Code 8101: Invalid Sample Messages - All sample messages must contain the brand name. My brand name is a DBA, it is in each message.

Rejection Code 5100

all saying my brand name must be included. My LLC would mean nothing to my clients, My registered DBA is what they know. It is in the brand registration - why would that not work.

  • I have been struggling with this for a while now! My campaign was declined by carrier after I’ve done everything asked of me! Now there are six images and I can’t delete them. I am at my whit’s end!!!

    I agree, the registration process is frustrating for all involved. While the requirements are the same for everyone registering (no matter who their provider is) how easily you meet those requirements is going to be determined by individual factors like the type of business you run, how you use SMS messaging and what resources you have available to make the required changes. We spend a lot of time communicating with the Carriers trying to improve the chances of our customers' registrations being approved, but at the end of the day that decision is made by a team appointed by the Carriers themselves. We do make appeals for another review when we think they may have missed something, but ultimately service providers have to go along with their decisions.

    I did exactly what the very nice rep suggested, this time it took four days to get declined. This is awful for a small business to have to go through. I am so frustrated that I hear from others that this process is much simpler with other providers. I do not have a massive IT department, this is silly and a time stink for me. 

    Frustrated again....

    I see that you spoke with one of our representatives this morning and they reviewed the rejection codes and your website with you. Hopefully these final updates are all that is needed for TCR to approve your registration.
