Hello! We recently transferred from Index (Sideline) to Grasshopper and we are still learning the system as it much different than our old system. We LOVE that we have the ability to see which each person is doing and the ability to transfer calls.
We are a local, small business - It is preferred to have a live person answer the lines vs going to a recording. We have the numbers transferred to a shared extension and then forwards to each number to answer. I think that we have the configurations correct but looking for guidance on easier setups.
Our biggest challenges are:
- We prefer to use the direct connection option but do not like that voicemails are left on personal phones and does not have the ability to leave it on the extension within grasshopper.
- The call/contact history is not easy to follow. It is rather clunky in following the call history. Would like to be able to pull a number and see all the history in one place (calls/VM/texts/etc.)
- The caller ID does not work like other apps. How can we see that it is a Grasshopper call but still see the ID of the caller? Our tech in the field does not like that it shows the callers number but looks like the call is coming directly to his phone - he doesn't have a way to identify if it is a personal or business call.
Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions are appreciated!

Hi ekmastin, welcome to the community.
Some initial thoughts:
- Adjust the ring time to between 30-50 seconds so the voicemails are not let on the personal phone
- This should be possible already on mobile, it is coming to the desktop app in a future update
- Enabling Wifi Calling should show the Grasshopper logo along with the Caller's number
