Can you have attendees in GoToWebinar talk or text "chat" to each other during a live 500 attendee event??
If you can't - PLEASE - change it so they can. It is terrible that there is no way to have the attendees interact with each other -
We have a weekly webinar on the same day, and same time EVERY week. Our clients like to be able to come to the event and interact with each other - and with the GoToMeeting there is no way to do that.
Only the organizer can see the "Questions" from attendees.
Let us know if there are plans to FIX this, thanks!
Chat Ability for All Attendees
- Steve20New MemberI specifically do not want this feature unless it could be turned off as a default. I want to be able to see my customers' comments. And I know that competitors sometimes join calls and I don't want them to be able to contact my customers privately.
- datachickNew MemberThat's what we try to do, But many enterprise environments block of forbid access to social media during working hours. Then there's the issue that not all our target audience uses social media.
We are trying to make our webinars engaging, Having to point them to some place outside the webinar is less than engaging.
We don't need to support Private messages. Just public chat. So sharing with ALL is fine. - Mel McMurrin1New MemberI agree this is a needed feature. At least a single group chatroom anyway. (A 1000 attendee dropdown list for private chat would be cumbersome!) As a work-around, we run a simultaneous Twitter chat with a hashtag (also could do a Facebook chat.) This not only solves the problem, but has added marketing benefits (assuming you want a public conversation.) You can make Twitter stream visible on your screenshare in GTW. Requires a dedicated Tweeter/organizer for large webinars.
- datachickNew MemberI can't believe we've had to wait so long for this feature. I do not like any of the other platforms, but something as simple as group chat is going to force us to move away.
- Dan HolmeNew MemberWe are new customers to GoToWebinar and we are SHOCKED that webinars don't offer attendee chat. We are already looking at other alternatives, which is sad as there are so many reasons to like GTW. But in this social world, lack of interactivity between attendees is a show stopper for us,
- Ralph RogersNew MemberI fully agree. This is a feature that would be very welcomed!
- Tom NikkolaNew MemberIs there any update on this? It seems like it's been requested for a very long time, long enough that chat could have been added to the system by now.
- Stephanie BNew MemberAny update on this? We just moved to Webinar from Meeting and would like this feature, it is a group under 100
- Stephanie BNew MemberI am with a group that was on GoToMeeting and just switched to GoToWebinar and we really really need the chat feature. We love the new question feature but our group is so used to personal interactions. We have less than 100 people and want this tunred on. Ive see something about 100+ not having it, has it been enabled for under 100 webinars? Or are we going to have to make everyone panalist to get the feature to work as a workaround?
- Golden RuleNew MemberWill this be updated? People have been asking for it for over a year. I am tempted to leave Citrix and not renew if this feature isn't added. So so frustrating!
