This is a Windows Server 2019 host.
GoToAssist Remote Support Customer service for unattended access has been running on it for years.
When I try to connect with GTA desktop, it comes up "Offline".
I find that the service is installed and set to Automatic and was not running.
Using a local workstation and RDP, I started the service and was able to connect unattended as usual. This condition appears to survive logoff/logon OK.
What can be done to restore the normal condition?
- without attended support?
- with attended support e.g. a reinstall? I'd rather avoid this.....
In searching the Event Viewer, I see events 7000 that say the service failed to start due to the following error:
"The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."
I also see timeouts hit at 30 seconds.
The system reboots once a day and the service started OK on 5/13 and, it appears, not thereafter unless I did it manually.
Yes, I've thought about a script to force it but wonder about the cause of this.
