Unattended GoToAssist Host OffLine

I have a client that has had their email (Microsoft365) hacked in the past.  Windows 10 Pro, all updates.  The Service Stops and if restarted, stops again.  I uninstalled the Unattended Program and reinstalled.  But it continues to crash and I see that remote OffLine.  I ask them to reboot and it's back Online.  My question is, where in EVENT VIEWER will I find the crash and what caused it or if it was turned off by some nefarious means.  Thank you.

Re: Unattended GoToAssist Host OffLine

Hi @tsgroup,

The GoToAssist logs might be more useful:

  1. On the Unattended Windows 10 PC click in the Search box and enter: %temp%
  2. Select your Temp folder from the results
  3. Select the LogMeInLogs folder
  4. Select  the GoToAssist Remote Support Customer folder
  5. Select the 1702 build folder

Re: Unattended GoToAssist Host OffLine

I couldn't find a folder named 1702.  Found 1692 but the size was zero kb.

Re: Unattended GoToAssist Host OffLine

Thank you. It looks like this unattended computer was never updated to Version 4.8, build 1702 which was released in April 2021and is the latest version. As there are no log files in the build 1692 folder we do not have much to go on.

I would recommend checking your Device Group settings and make sure they are set to Regular Updates so that all of them update to Version 4.8, build 1702. If this particular computer is already in a Device Group set to Regular Updates and has not updated automatically itself, I would uninstall and then set up Unattended Support again fresh with v4.8
