App being removed after meeting ends

From what I've read, it looks as though joining a meeting as an attendee is best done by way of the desktop app (Windows 10 PCs). However, it appears that the app is removed at the end of each meeting. Is this by design? We will be hosting attendees who need to be presented with a process that requires as few IT steps as possible, and having to install the app each time is making the process cumbersome. Your advice would be very much appreciated. Many thanks

The GoToMeetinng application should stay installed, as well as the GoTo Launcher application that plugs into the web browser.
