Many camera companies have come up with utilities recently to be able to utilize your DSLR or Mirrorless camera to be used as webcam via USB. This is very useful on desktop PC's at home that don't utilize a webcam without it being an additional piece of hardware (and good luck finding a decent webcam these days at a decent price). Canon's EOS Webcam Utility shows in my Gotomeeting list of available cameras but will not connect. The same utility works for all other web conferencing software (Teams, Zoom, and Skype) that I need to use for work, but Gotomeeting fails the connection. What would be different about the way Gotomeeting treats 3rd party apps/drivers that have a webcam feed and is there any way to correct this?
I'm having that same exact issue....switched to Zoom which supports a DSLR setup...but would rather use gotomeeting/webinar when they can support higher end setups.
Bezerkus, Manycam utility doesn't work as a patch fix that has worked for some.
Ironically it works with join.me, which is owend by LogMeIn, but not with GoTo.
Any ideas, LogMeIn community?
Hi, I apologize for the incompatibility there.
We will be working to improve webcam compatibility in the near future, and I'll take this feedback to the GoTo development team for additional consideration.
