New GTM Interface - Move the Control Buttons?

I've recevied a notification that our company has to move to the new GTM interface as of 3/28.  So I've decided to start testing the new environment.  First opinion is that it is NOT a good change.  There seems to be a real effort to make this look like the WebEx product and that thing is awful.

We use GTM with clients extensively where we ask them to show their screen and then give us keyboard and mouse control.  This has always been a simple to use feature.

Now however, as the person NOT showing my screen, there is this always present set of floating buttons that appear on the screen.  If I'm trying to click around in a client environment, these buttons consistently get in the way, and it is pretty easy to kill the entire meeting when you're just trying to click on a program in the Windows task bar on the other user's screen.  Also, these buttons result in a shadow fade over the bottom of the presenting users' screen, making it difficult to even see the windows task bar in a shared screen.GotoMeeting-ControlInterface.png

Is there any way to move these to a floating box similar to what appears when you are the presenter?  The old control box worked great, just give me the option to go back to that location for these buttons.

Also, the other pet peeve.  Why is there not way to simply close the webcam view?  We're not using webcams, so please let me just turn the box off.  Let me see the screen share as it's own stand alone window so that I can size and zoom as needed.  Instead, it auto shrinks when all these other windows encroach fom the edges.

I will be going back to the old interface for now, but these things really need to be fixed before I'm forced to move to the new interface.

Same here, need those buttons either movable or have the option to disable. We remote control to troubleshoot servers and the terminal window input is at the bottom of the screen. If the terminal is full screen so we can see the output of scripts/logs, i can't see what i'm typing or the bottom of the log/output.

I agree with these comments on all fronts. The new interface is too "in your face" instead of quietly doing its job and getting out of the way.

I appreciate your feedback on this subject, and we are working to implement better functionality for upcoming GoToMeeting releases.  Should you need to temporarily switch back to the previous version, you may do so through your online account settings:  https://support.goto.com/meeting/help/go-back-to-the-old-gotomeeting-view

Re: New GTM Interface - Move the Control Buttons?

I second that. Who thinks it could possibly be a good place to put the control buttons on the what is basically the remote PC's task bar, when controlling it - and make it harder to see by adding a gradient?

I try to open apps on the taskbar and either mute myself or get promoted to exit the meeting? It's really really naff, I'm surprised it got through QA.
