Pound Key vs Hash Key

Some of our UK customers are getting confused when being prompted to 'press the pound key' on their phones to connect via GoToMeeting. We're based in the UK, where the # key is known as the 'hash' key, whereas in the US it's called the 'pound' key. To make matters worse, the 'pound' sign in the UK is used to refer to the '£' currency symbol, which doesn't appear on anyone's phone. So when GoToMeeting tells UK customers to 'press the pound key' it causes confusion as they don't have a £ symbol on their handset to press. Clearly, most manage to work it out, but it's just a clunky experience to be told to press a key that you don't have. Does anyone know a way of circumventing this? Alternatively, can LogMeIn amend the message to say 'press the pound or hash key'? Any help much appreciated!
