Switch from computer-audio to phone-audio duplicates me

Hi,

I have several bugs to report. I tried the following to contact you:
- No email for bugreports found.
- Phone support in my native language, German is unavailable, since I always stuck in a waiting loop.
- Phone support in English, was not very helpful.

So here is the first bug:

I am connected with the webapp app.gotomeeting.com. Switching from computer-audio to phone-audio while in the meeting duplicates me in the meeting:
- My original image, with the webcam, shows the phone-icon, but it's grey.
- A new speaker appears as "Anrufer 00", which is me speaking.

Here is a screenshot of the problem:

The problem is reproducable in every meeting

PS: My boss is a paying customer.

@GotoUser4711  I'm sorry about that.  Are you successfully entering the phone PIN when you join through telephone?

If you aren't reaching the German support agents then we can certainly have someone follow up with you.

Yes.

In the meeting I change the audio to phone, call the shown number, enter one very long number, then #, then a shorter number and finally another #. Then I can hear the people in the meeting. Obviously I can also talk to them, no issues with audio.

The only problem is that i am duplicated.

What happens if the organizer attempts to dismiss the original listing?

Can't test this until our next meeting.

Is this important? I think it's clear, that there is a bug in your webapp, since I should not duplicate myself if I switch the audio-device.

Yes, we're aware of the improvement needs.  I was just wondering what effect it would have, in order to clear up some confusion while you are broadcasting.

Re: Switch from computer-audio to phone-audio duplicates me

Hi,

I "hacked" into our LogMeIn customer-account and started a meeting with my smartphone. Then I used the webapp in my laptop to participate in the meeting and switched to phone. The count of attendees increased to 3 (smartphone, me@laptop, me@phone)

I kicked my original listing (which was used for the webcam). As expected my session on the laptop was terminated. My connection via phone was not affected.

Re: Switch from computer-audio to phone-audio duplicates me

Hi,

here is another test:

Since your web app is broken (microphone only works before the meeting, but not in the meeting), I used the phone before the meetings starts. I can then enable my webcam and everything is correct, no more "Anrufer 00".

The problem happens only, if you switch to phone while in the meeting. Switch to phone before the meeting works perfectly.

This is no accepted solution, just a workaround.
