restrict chat to presenter only?

New to gotomeeting, trying to setup a meeting that will allow the joined people to only chat the presenter not each other, is this possible.  I can't find any settings for this.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Chris,

If you click on the GoToMeeting menu at the top of your Control Panel, you can disable Chat for Attendees.



If you use a Mac, click on Options in the Toolbar.

chat to Organiser only

I got an interesting request for G2M where sonme of our users were raising a need for: 
-disable chat,
-disable to see other attendees
but
-chat only to Organiser possible

first 2 are easy to disable in the Admin tool, but last one afaIk is not possible in G2M, right?
Anybody found a workaround to bypass that? Text mesages to send to Organiser? any other (except senmd mail)?

Hi there,

It is not currently possible to restrict Chat to/from Organizers only, but is possible with GoToWebinar and GoToTraining. 

 

I have not heard of any plans to change this functionality, and have now merged your comment into the existing product enhancement thread.
