We are currently using GoToTraining and our Customer Success Team encourages their clients to sign-up for our trainings. The trainings are conducted by our training specialist team. We do a lot of trainings and it is tedious for our training specialist team to manually look up who signed up and then reach out to the client success team member for background information on the client to provide a more tailored experience. It is also not reasonable for the client success team to get every new registrant email since 95% of the sign-ups are not their clients.
So, I am trying to automate sending an email to the correct client success person when their client signs up for a training. My initial idea was to send everyone on the client success team the new registrant email and then have each client success team set up a filter in Gmail to archive all-new registrant emails unless the domain comes from one of their clients. However, GoToTraining does not pass along emails. I also tried setting up a custom field where the customer enters their company. Again, this did not work because the custom field is not sent in the new registrant email. Am I doing something wrong? If there is a way to get custom fields displayed in the new registrant email then I could set the appropriate filters.
Any other ideas?
