Difference between webcast and standard webinar

Hi, I'm looking into the difference between webcast and standard webinar. If I understand well, with webcast I can have more attendees, is that right? Other than the option to unmute attendees, what is different between the webcast and the standard webinar?

I've been using the standard webinar and I'm familiar with those option, but I was wondering if there is anything else. The info I find online is confusing.

This website says:

Attendees can only join via computer audio (VoIP) in webcast

https://support.goto.com/webinar/help/whats-the-difference-between-classic-webcast-and-simulated-liv...

And another website says:

Webcast has options like VoIP or dial-in audio

https://blog.gotomeeting.com/big-events-simple-execution-gotowebinar-premier-event/

So does webcast have dial-in or not?

Thank you in advance for any answer and help!

Hi @nephwebinar

Sorry for any confusion, Webcast attendees hear the audio through their computer, that is their only option. Organizers and panelists still use the desktop software to present the Webcast, so they have the option to dial-in or use computer audio.
