I often host webinars with external bodies as presenters. It would be great to be able to end the webinar (stop broadcasting) and be able to have the organisers still on to discuss the webinar with the presenters, instead of having to arrange some other way to communicate when we're all already on the line. This could also be useful for go-to-meeting, as many meetings in my workplace will continue with the senior staff once other attendees have left.

After a webinar is finished would love a way to allow the presenters and organizers to stay on to debrief after a webinar is complete. I have presenters from across the country sometimes 3 different ones. Would love this to be a feature.
- klmonlineContributorI'll just stick a "ME TOO!" on this one.
- Chris DroesslerRespected ContributorYou can manually remove the other attendees from the meeting. Would that be rude?
- GlennDGoTo ManagerHi Ashley,
Currently it is not possible to end the webinar for everyone but the webinar staff. Once the broadcast is started attendees can dial in to the conference call and will continue to be able to dial in until the call is ended. You could attempt to manually dismiss each of the attendees as Chris suggests, but that would not prevent any attendees dialed in by telephone from remaining on the conference call and listening to what is said.
- Chris DroesslerRespected ContributorYou can politely ask the attendees to leave, and if you have to, you can dismiss attendees from the webinar.
However, anyone who has connected by phone-only will not show up on the attendee list, so they might be lurking after the meeting.
The best way to do this is to create a separate webinar for the special invitees to join after the regular webinar.
I am hoping Glenn will step in and say that I am wrong, and there really is an easy way to do this. - GlennDGoTo Manager
Hi Lisa,
Chris is correct, there is no way to end the webinar for only the attendees. You can dismiss people from the attendee list but one the audio broadcast has been started it's not possible to limit the conference call to webinar staff again. Since GoToWebinar includes a GoToMeeting license, you could launch a GoToMeeting for everyone to join after the webinar has ended. - John371New MemberHi - Is there away to go back into a panelist and organizer-only conversation after the broadcast ends? Organizers would like to be able to thank panelists after the fact, currently when I end the broadcast it ends the webinar for everyone, is there a work-around?
- GlennDGoTo Manager
Hi John,
I'm sorry no currently, once the broadcast has started it is not possible to switch back into a staff only call. Once you end the webinar you could launch a GoToMeeting the the webinar staff could join.

Product Request: It would be very helpful if - at end of webinar I could "end broadcast" and return to practice mode with the panelists. This would allow a post-webinar debriefing discussion. Current arrangement is very harsh (verging on rude) and abrupt end of discussion with the (in my case remote/overseas ) panelist

A feature like this would be great to have. We currently use GTW for board meetings that are open to the public. This allows us to promote or allow attendees to speak during public comment and then place them back on a hard mute. However, when it comes time for a closed session, we have to have all our board members disconnect from GTW and jump on a GTM where we can see who is exactly in the GTM and lock it down. After the GTM everybody has to jump back on the GTW to report out. Pretty cumbersome stuff, GTW -> GTM -> GTW. 2 sets of invites for panelist to manage.
It would be great to be able to dismiss all attendees, even those on the phone, to a waiting room so the panelist, organizer and co-organizers can conduct a meeting in private and then allow attendees back into the webinar when the private meeting is over. We would pay for this feature!

Is there a way to end the webinar for attendees but leave it open for staff so that the organisers and panellists can have a short debrief afterwards? If so, what do I need to do to make that happen? Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.
- Chris DroesslerRespected Contributor
No, unless you want to kick the Attendees out of the webinar one at a time. Even if you do that, anyone who has connected to the webinar with only a telephone will still be there, and you won't know it.

Hello, after webinars, we schedule a separate meeting for the organizers and panelists to meet to discuss how we thought the webinar went. It would be great to have a Practice mode (or follow-up mode) to meet afterwards and not jump on another call. Thanks!

include a Stop broadcast feature so we can have post-event calls with the presenters after the webinar ends

Hi mcmahonbrian10 ,
Did you want to exclude the Attendees during this part of the session?

Great idea! Wish I'd submitted it. I always always always have a post event call with my panelists and presenters but I revert to MS Teams to do so. It would be a fantastic addition to have the option to stop the broadcast, let the attendees leave but continue to discuss the event with those on the 'staff' list.

This would be a great feature! Maybe once breakout rooms are available this could be one of the options: Break out room for Organizers and panelists only.
