Is it possible to send myself a test of the reminder email? I believe the subject line in the reminder email is showing the text [time] in the sentence "the webinar is beginning in [time]" rather than filling this field with the actual countdown time.

You can see a preview of the reminder email in your dashboard. The default subject line formatting is: Reminder: Subject webinar starts in [time] (1 week, 1 day, 1 hour depending on your settings)
Thank you for your reply. However the reminder emails I receive still have [time] in the subject line rather than the actual "1 week, 1 day, 1 hour"... I've now manually changed it so it correctly reflects the count down time.
