Hamachi and some games not working in Vista 64bit or Win7 64bit

 Helo,

I am not shure if this applies to only vista/win7 64bit or also to vista/win7 32bit.

First thing to say is the game we are trying to get to work is "Alien vs Predator 2: Primal Hunt"

Game works with hamachi set to the top of the list (via network-> advanced settings) in Windows XP and Windows 2000 (both 32bit)

But when we try to make server (in vista/win7 64bit), game just doesnt use hamachi IP even if hamachi is set to the top of the list. But it works in some other games like Age of Mythology.

What is the problem? Any settings i missed? Is this hamachi OR vista/win7 OR 64bit problem?

Any help is appreciated.

We tried other software like tunngle and it works and server does make Tunngle IP. BUT we really like hamachi better so please what is the problem?

regards,

McGregor

[quote]Another problem (usually with the Vista x64 editions) might be the fact that your routing table hasn't been flushed since installing Hamachi.

You can correct this by opening the command prompt (just type cmd in start > run...), then type route print and if you can't see 255.255.255.255 in the IPv4 Route Table type route -f and reboot. This might fix your problem.
If you get the error The requested operation requires elevation, ensure that your account has administrative privileges and UAC (in Windows Vista) is turned off.

Hamachi broadcast issue

Hamachi v.1.0.2.0 and newer has a broadcasting bugg preventing alot of games from working correctly. If you are experiencing this problem(not being able to see/create games) and are using Vista, which means that you cannot install an older version of Hamachi, there is now a neat console program fixing this problem. The program uses WinPcap available from http://www.winpcap.org (needs to be installed!) and forwards broadcast packets from your network interface to the hamachi interface. The program will need to be running with elevated rights to be allowed to capture packets.

Re: Hamachi and some games not working in Vista 64bit or Win7 64bit

It sounds like you're having issues with getting "Alien vs Predator 2: Primal Hunt" to work with Hamachi on Windows Vista/Windows 7 64-bit, and you're wondering if it's a Hamachi, Vista/Win7, or 64-bit problem. Here are a few suggestions to help you troubleshoot the issue: Compatibility Mode: Try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP or Windows 2000. Right-click the game's executable file, go to Properties, and under the Compatibility tab, select an older Windows version. Run as Administrator: Make sure you are running both Hamachi and the game as an administrator. Right-click on their shortcuts or executable files and choose "Run as administrator." Firewall and Antivirus: Check if your firewall or antivirus software is blocking the game or Hamachi. Try temporarily disabling them to see if it resolves the issue. If it does, you can then create exceptions for the necessary ports and processes. Hamachi Settings: Ensure that Hamachi is properly configured. Make sure Hamachi's network interface is set as the primary network adapter. You can change this in the network settings of your operating system. Hamachi Network Priority: In Windows, you can change the network priority order. Ensure that Hamachi is at the top of the list, as you mentioned, in the advanced network settings. Hamachi Version: Make sure you are using the latest version of Hamachi. Outdated versions may have compatibility issues with newer operating systems. Game Patches: Check if there are any official websites like panda master vip apk or updates available for "Alien vs Predator 2: Primal Hunt." Installing the latest patches can often resolve compatibility issues. Community Forums: Check if there are community forums or discussions related to this specific game and Hamachi. Other players may have encountered similar issues and found solutions. Alternative VPNs: While you prefer Hamachi, if other VPN software like Tunngle is working, you might consider using an alternative VPN as a temporary solution until you can resolve the Hamachi issue. Remember that compatibility issues can be complex, and it may take some trial and error to find the exact solution. Make sure to back up your game saves and important data before making significant changes to your system settings.
