We need to save multiple combinations of username/password for a single login URL. While we are able to create a site for each username/password combo, we are having difficulty easily logging in using the selected 'site'.
Even with autofill turned on for a particular site, clicking that site from the chrome extension opens the login URL and then either stops there (i.e. the username and password fields remain blank, so you have to re-search for it to fill in the form), or the login form opens with a random username/password combo from another saved site.
The exact same behavior happens when launching a site from the vault: opens the login page and leaves the username/password fields blank.
Is there any way to fix this?
Hi @geicko,
When on the site that you have multiple entries saved in your Vault for, could you try clicking the LastPass extension icon in your browser or the in-field LastPass icon if you have that enabled? This should display a list of the saved entries in your Vault for this site that you can choose from, and once you choose an option it should fill in on the site.
Thanks for your help @RachelO
It works if I first access the login page and search for the right site credentials in the extension. But if I'm on a blank browser tab and click the site from the extension, it opens a new tab with the login page and does not fill the username/password. Do we have a way to make this works without having to first navigate to the login page? When I start from my vault using the 'launch' button of the specific site I want to log in, it opens a tab with the login page but I am left having to re-search for that site in the extension to fill the username and password. We were hoping there would be a quicker 1-step process to open the login page AND fill the site credentials.
Hi @geicko,
You may need to "force" auto-fill in the login field a few times for LastPass to recognize and autofill on that page, by clicking the extension icon and filling in the desired credentials. You could also click the in-field icon for LastPass to more quickly choose the credentials you'd like to fill on the page: https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass/help/what-does-the-number-on-the-lastpass-field-icon-mean
Another option would be to enable the auto-login option for certain entries in your Vault: https://support.logmeininc.com/lastpass/help/set-up-automatic-logins-lp020008
